EWHA Womans University TESOL MA program helped me to develop a deeper understanding of how to communicate in a more efficient and effective way which has helped me to teach my students the communication skills and confidence needed to interact with international individuals with clearer language and cultural understanding. Jiyeon Seong

Class of 2021 MA TESOL , Graduage School of Foreign Language Education,

Ewha Womans University

I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English language education. While working as an English teacher, I had growing concerns about how to teach English effectively, how language acquisition occurs, and why students' achievements vary, even when teaching the same lesson content. Through this program, I was provided with a wealth of resources that range from the theoretical aspects of English education to practical applications in educational settings. I would highly recommend this program to those who aspire to become excellent English teachers but may be unsure about the path to take. It would guide you in navigating the field of education and equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in teaching.

I developed my teacher identity and worked on myself to better understand what it means to be a successful teacher thanks to the holistic approach to second language learning and teaching that I acquired at EWHA TESOL. All the techniques and methods have been put to use at my present position.

English Teacher at Korean Public High School

The MA TESOL program at Ewha Womans University not only improved my ability to teach English in educational settings, but it also gave me the chance to conduct research, stay current with industry trends, and update and enhance my role as a teacher. This program gave me the chance to reflection on my role as a teacher, which is especially important in the 21st century setting where students need diverse skills.

Throughout the MA program, I worked extremely hard and learnt a lot. The greatest feeling after finishing the whole process is a strong sense of accomplishment. So, if someone asks if I'd suggest this program to others, would I? Without a doubt, I would say YES!
