Marketing Manager (Education/School)
Seoul, Korea

Responsibilities
The Marketing Manager (Education/School) will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing strategic marketing plans to help meet the goals and objectives of the company and the roadmap of the educational products/solutions.

The Marketing Manager will also work closely with the Marketing Senior Manager and the Marketing Manager for Trade/Home Learning to enable the growth of Scholastic’s presence in the market through various marketing campaigns and social media activities.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:

Go-to-market planning and execution

  • responsible for go-to-market plan and delivery of educational products and solutions

  • identify areas of growth through market research, customer insight, competitor analysis, and attending conferences and workshops

  • turn data into strategies and organize actionable plans that better position Scholastic products and services in the market

    Strong partnership with the sales team

  • build and maintain strong partnership with the sales team in order to support initiatives that drive revenue in key accounts

  • provide strategic product and curriculum direction and suitable approaches to increase adoptions

    Communication and management

  • work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to discuss marketing ideas, messages, and campaigns, and optimize marketing campaigns and activities in alignment to Scholastic brand value and image

  • liaise with marketing agencies, vendors, and freelancers in creating and distributing content executed in a timely manner

  • ensure consistency with branding and messaging in all marketing related creations

  • engage with customers in a positive and appropriate manner

     

     

    Job Qualification and Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree or higher (master’s degree in English education or TESOL preferred)

  • more than 5 years’ experience of working in the English education industry

  • good understanding of the English education market and profession in Korea

  • ability to plan and manage priorities and workflow

  • ability to work on multiple campaigns and projects with precision and attention to detail

  • good at risk management and handling uncertainty under rapidly changing situations

  • proficient written and oral communication skills (native Korean and working level English)

  • good with technology and digital products

  • high level of MS Office tools

  • curiosity for new ideas and willingness to learn

  • creative, flexible, and proactive team player
